Chocolate and caramel is absolutely right! I was aiming for more of a medium roast, and was dismayed at first because I let it get to a rolling second crack on accident. But that turned out to be perfect. It feels smooth like a Kona or a Java, with very little bitterness. I did slow down the roast for the browning phase, which I think was a great choice because the roast is very sweet. The chocolate's definitely more of a milk chocolate than a dark chocolate, and the caramel verges almost on molasses. Very smooth. I will definitely get these again.

Just fantastic. Can't believe it costs less than the regular Antigua. Don't tell CBC! Roasted in an SR800 with ext tube. Progressed a little slower than most, 1st crack occurred about 20° hotter than usual. Took to about Full City. Rested 3 days. Wonderful aroma while grinding told me this was special. Brewed in a Chemex. I test new coffees on my wife. I don't tell her it's a new one, and wait for her reaction. "Wow, is this ever good!" Yep! Certainly chocolatey and nutty. Well-balanced for sure Brighter than expected, and a little fruity on the back end, but no particular fruit. Gets even more chocolatey as it cools. Smooth, buttery mouthfeel that stays with you. Just an awesome cup of coffee.
