Took these to FC+ (just into second crack) and my taste-buds can confirm that this is very close to a regular Sumatra (which I also have in stock). As with pretty much any other Sumatra, I'm not looking for a super clean cup with the higher notes. I'm expecting and earthy/herbaceous/chocolate combo, and this decaf fits the bill! I can't say that the typical "graham cracker" taste that specialty decafs are known for is really there much. Maybe way in the background, but that could just be my mind overlaying my expectations? lol. In any case, this is certainly worth getting.

I can't drink regular coffee anymore due to excessive acid, so I am trying new organic decaf coffee. I love good coffee flavor, but not blended brands.

Sumatra Mandeling is far superior to other types of Sumatra coffee
when roasted light, just a little beyond the first crack. Roasted this way
the coffee has more brightness than any other decaf currently sold here.
Generally Sumatra coffee has no brightness and is heavy bodied.
I drink all of my coffee black so I don't like a trace of bitterness or harshness to my coffee and this Sumatra roast has no bitterness as long as the oils don't come to the surface.
I started roasting my own coffee because all of the roasted coffee beans were too dark for me. There was one company that roasted its beans a little less than others and they sold Sumatra Mandeling decaf. I bought only that
decaf as long as it was available.

I have loved all the beans ordered! I am restricted to mostly decaf these days and have enjoyed trying new kinds. These are really good.

this coffee has not disappointed! it's my first time purchasing it. the customer service was phenomenal - I had loads of questions because I need an organic decaf and lower acidity. she answered my questions promptly and more than I needed to know! this will be my coffee bean from here on out! so glad I found you!

Best decaf I’ve tried in a year. My wife liked decaf for a long time but it didn’t taste good to me. This one could fool me into drinking it for regular coffee! Glad I ordered 5 pounds. Now I need to get more before it’s all gone. Lol

Any decaf will never 100% stand up against its counter part, a caffeinated bean, but this is still extremely good! For a decaf coffee this is definitely up there on my list to buy more of.
I roasted into full city with it bc I like that flavor profile and it turned out well. Looking forward to roasting more of it!

Just drank my first cup. Roasted fairly quickly to just past end of 1C, let it coast a minute then rapidly cooled.
WOW! You absolutely would not know this is decaf. Full bodied and perfectly balanced. Delicious!
