Would definitely recommend this for filter coffee. Roasted them on the behmor low and slow. 1 min in first crack then drop. You get all the notes described.

Taken to City + on an SR800, brewed in a Chemex. CBC's description is spot-on. Slightly different from the other Guatamalans I've tried . Not as chocolatey or nutty. Light, bright, and smooth. Slight chocolate, definite fruit tastes. This is not a bold coffee. The taste doesn't overwhelm or linger, but it's really delicious. I'd think it would go well with a dessert.

Initially ordered one lb to try, now back to re-order. First 215 gm roast'n in sr800 was trashed 7th D; hit 1st-K @7:10 ca 390° fast/rapid, ended 1:25 later at 438° (probe in roast chamber). My wife & I cup'd 2nd roasting v.g. to Ex (she adds milk / mine black). Drying phase, 300° @ 3:50, strong 1st-K @7:40 ca 405° & end of 1stK 1:20 in; drop fan from 4 to 3 & 1:30 into 1st-K ladled out #4 (1 oz) scoops (charged from 6 to 8 heat setting after scoop'n), hit 2nd-K @ 2:30 into 1st, hit cooling 0:10 later then dumped to external cooling device. Roast improved greatly with more rest; best cup'n between 7–13 days. Aren't many beans so forgiving that you can interrupt the roast development; but it is one way of extending it. I don't blend the two roast levels till I've cup'd both separate. I can do this with only 4 or more beans offered by CBC & I've tried it with 20+. Bolivian Apollo is one favorite I've used this method with over a dozen times, 2-3 or 4 scoops.

Roasted past FC a darker medium roast, just before SC. There is a bitterness similar to Starbucks Pikes Place. I enjoy Starbucks Pikes Place and this is a good clone.

Usually a sumatra lover but like to try new beans, this fit the profile so we tried it. Roasted to the start of the second crack and really like it. Might just replace the sumatra in the roaster permantly. This is the only coffee roaster that will ship to alaska at a decent price, they have my business from now on.

I just started purchasing coffee from CBC and I love everything about them so far. They are a quality supplier and run a quality business. I have roasted 6 of their coffees and this is my favorite thus far. I roasted it about 30 seconds past the end of the 1st crack and the flavor is everything that they said it was supposed to be. I love CBC and their coffees!

Just roasted up a batch of this coffee. Definitely one of my favs so far. I'm a newbie roaster and have tried about 15 different beans. This one is very good! Roasted it to a nice medium/dark past first crack. Let the beans rest for two days. It's a lovely cup! Chocolatey, fruity, with a lemon kicker. I really like this bean!
