Description
Our new Nicaragua SHB comes from the Jinotega region. This farm, owned by Javier Enrique Rodriguez, has 18 years of experience only producing coffee. After the coffee is washed on the farm at the wet mill, it is transported to the dry process plant and sun dried on concrete patios. It is a Strictly Hard Bean, meaning it is grown at relatively high altitudes. The high altitudes and lower temperatures produce slower maturing fruit and a harder, less porous bean which brings out a flavorful cup and a bit more acidity than lower grown beans.
Cupping Notes: Brown sugar aroma, sweet and lingering chocolatey aftertaste and crisp acidity with notes of citrus, orange, peach, and dark chocolate.
